On our very first visit to Maizuru, Dr. Tadashi invited us to his home in Kyoto.

Since we were not so familiar to all places, a lady student who spoke good English came with us on the train. When we reached halfway through our journey we disembarked . We crossed the rail track and reached a river flowing along.

From here we travelled by a boat till we reached close to Kyoto. On getting down we walked along a Bamboo forest with lovely breeze and somewhat musical sound in the forest. This place has now become very popular and known as “ Sagano Bamboo Forest ”. Wooden paths weave through the dense thicket of tall bamboo stalks that reach dozens of feet into the sky, creating a canopy. As the wind passes through the tightly packed plants, the wood bends and creaks, the leaves rustle, and the trunks knock together, creating a peaceful sound like almost nothing else.

Latter we went to city center for a cup of Tea. Little later another doctor who worked at Maizuru, came to pick us up and took us to his home for overnight stay.
Next morning we went to Dr. Tadashi’s Home. First we saw very famous Japanese tea ceremony which his wife practises. I would say tea tasted very bitter. This was followed by JAPANESE SUSHI - SPECIAL VEGETRIAN SUSHIS WERE ORDERED FOR US. And then we returned back to our apartment called 101 which was kept specially for visiting doctors.
