Trip to Munsiyari
In our many visits to north India, one more visit we made was to Munsiyari.

From Almora we went to Chakori, a govt. managed holiday spot. Chakori has individual cottages and separate building for meals. We all used to pull out our chairs to sit to gather and enjoy surrounding in the evening.

After breakfast we left for Munsiyari.

Munsiyari is a scenic hill station and gateway to the Johar Valley located at an elevation of roughly 2,200 meters (7,200 feet) in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, India
Panchachuli Peaks: Offers panoramic, close-up sunrise views of the five snow-capped Panchachuli mountain peaks, along with views of Nanda Devi and Nandakot.

Panchachuli Peaks is A group of five snow-capped Himalayan peaks that glow dramatically during sunrise and sunset.
These peaks are compared as five Pandavas going to heaven.
We had planned to go further along main road hoping to see one of the glaciers - the Milam Glacier, Ralam Glacier, Namik Glacier. But the road was under construction. I was disappointed.
Milam Glacier Ralam Glacier Namik Glacier
I would have liked to compare with our family trip to Pindhari Glacier.
We went up to Darkot Village where we saw people selling traditional pashmina shawls, merino wool carpets. We ultimately bought nice shawls in a shop in the village.

Birthi Falls: A 126-meter-tall cascading waterfall located about 35 km before Munsiyari, surrounded by green forests and local snack stalls. We it seems missed the water fall.

Nanda Devi Temple: An ancient hilltop temple dedicated to Goddess Nanda Devi with a clear front view of the Panchachuli range.
